A Guru's Guide to Intervention: Tools for Supporting Older Struggling Readers

A Guru’s Guide to Intervention is a set of reading intervention tools for use with older struggling readers that follow the principles of orthographic mapping. The Guide includes an instructional handbook that outlines the principles of orthographic mapping, provides information on structural analysis and word origin, and gives directions for implementing the tools.
Three separate sets of cards based on the Academic Word List provide the phonology, phonics and morphology instructions for teaching the words to students.
